Hillside Cottage is a charming 18th Century white fronted beamed cottage retaining much of its original character. The cottage sleeps four with two bedrooms, one double and one twin with newly fitted washbasin. It is ideal for exploring the many interesting places by car and has many walks directly from the door The end one of a group of three cottages in an elevated position on the edge of Ambleside with panoramic views from all the windows and garden. It is in a very peaceful position yet only five minutes walk from shops, pubs, restaurants and fifteen minutes from the lake There is a wide selection of footpaths and higher level walks nearby.
It has a south facing front garden with garden furniture and private parking for one car within the garden gates. A meadow descends to the kitchen window at the rear of the cottage often with grazing sheep.
The cottage is open plan downstairs The lounge has a living flame gas fire, colour TV, DVD and music centre. All main rooms have electric storage radiators. The newly fitted kitchen has electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and washer dryer. The original winding stairs lead to the upper floor with two bedrooms, newly fitted bathroom with basin, bath and electric shower and separate newly fitted toilet.
